We usually build car transporters for customers of our Swiss dealer Schöpfer Garage und Autohilfe AG, but this time Hans Schöpfer, owner, will drive the Mercedes-Benz Actros 2/3 loader himself. “He also likes to drive transports occasionally,” says a smiling Roland Böhringer, account manager, “and then sells the car transporter again after a while.”

We design and build ramps for 2/3 cars with a steel structure, which can be tailor-made according to your wishes with a large number of flexible elements and additional options. This Mercedes-Benz Actros has a loading length of approximately 4.50m above and 8.50m below and is approximately 2.20m wide above and 2.55m below.

Some specifications:

• Instead of diamond plate, the floor consists of 2 lanes of special floor plate into which wheel stands and tension straps can be hooked. The floor between the lanes is closed with diamond plate. We have created a storage option for wheel stands on the side. The top floor is hot-dip galvanized.
• Instead of the existing lifting system, portals with spindles have been installed so that the floor at the front can remain in any desired position. This makes it possible, for example, to load buses, combos or MPVs on the upper floor.
• The rear part of the top floor can be moved up and down by means of 2 diagonally placed hydraulic cylinders with nickel-chrome rods. The cylinders are protected against hose breakage.
• We have installed a hydraulic lifting table in the subfloor, so that the 1st car can be lifted approximately 15cm at the rear. can drop.
• The tilting rear overhang, containing a hydraulically extending floor, ensures that loading can be carried out directly from the road surface. The rear deck and extension are galvanized as standard and we have sprayed the sides and rear of the rear overhang in the body color.
• We have installed a Pundmann hydraulic winch with a maximum load of 3.6 tons. The winch is mounted in a galvanized frame which is equipped with a height-adjustable roller window.
• The radio remote control makes it possible to operate the winch, spindles, lifting cylinders, lifting tables and the rear overhang (up/down, in/out) wirelessly, using a hand transmitter and the associated receiver.
• The side shield, with integrated tool boxes, is completely closed.
• At the rear, the existing taillights are mounted and connected in the appropriate light box. The body is equipped with legally required side lighting (LED) and contour lighting, fully installed in accordance with the requirements of the RDW.

We have taken care of the final finish down to the last detail. The superstructure has been blasted and sprayed. Scooping is also happening more and more often. This provides an extra protective layer by thermally applying liquefied zinc, aluminum or an alloy of both. For the optimal result of this operation, the entire structure has been dismantled.
