Wim van Vliet indicates that this is the first Tijhof ramp for Garage van Vliet and that everything has been good so far. What is special is that because of the wheelbase of 4.730mm we have a AluLiner could build with a floor length of approximately 5.500mm. Our ramps – also popularly known as car ambulances – are all solid proof of our years of experience as body builders.

We have implemented the standard structure with, among other things:

• Ground frame set Sprinter.
• We have mounted a steel subframe on the chassis, consisting of U-profiles, which extend to the extreme rear. A second U-profile has been mounted at the rear of the existing chassis by means of a bolt connection, which together with the first U-profile forms a strong triangular connection for mounting the towing device.
• Set of mudguards L+R.
• Shelf guide.
• At the rear we have installed a fully aluminum rear window in which recesses are provided for mounting the fully aluminum ramps. The aluminum ramps can be stored in a sled under the floor and pushed out against a stop for driving up. (This means you only have to lift half the weight!)
• A ball coupling is mounted on the rear window with the maximum permitted traction force of the car.

A number of options:

• Ramps without raised edge. These are fitted as standard in combination with air suspension.
• Instead of a round railing, a side beam with a hole profile has been mounted. This creates 5 cm more useful width and makes it easy to tighten tension straps.
• Fly-over with closed plate and Tijhof lasered into the spoiler.
• An electric surface-mounted winch, radio controlled.
• Closed side shield with an aluminum tool box on the left and right.
• Instead of the standard aluminum floor, a floor with a perforated profile has been installed, the intermediate part of which is closed by aluminum floor parts, making it possible to load the floor between the lanes. The supplied wheel stands can be clamped/hooked into this profile.

The design of modern cars has changed significantly in recent years. Quite rightly, a lot of attention is paid to pedestrian safety and air resistance. All kinds of great solutions have been devised to transport these vehicles, which often have low bumpers. Longer planks and so-called folding pieces do not appear to be sufficient; the solution is to kneel the vehicle.
